Nike LeBron 11 "Blue Suede" - First Look

With sneakers seemingly moving towards being used more as fashion than function, the demand for colorways and makeups of sneakers that feature lifestyle-like designs is rising. Although shoes will always serve their original purpose of providing support, traction, and comfort to the wearer, sneaker design has been becoming more about visuals than it ever has before. This trend has been spread out over many years but with sneakers becoming more and more of a part of popular culture the demand for head turning shoes has certainly been heard. This fact is supported by the slew of lifestyle designed makeups we see on a yearly basis. Last years Nike LeBron 10 EXT releases set the bar high for this year and we are now getting a look at what Nike has planned to compete with the popularity of last years releases.

Pictured below is a first look at the Nike LeBron 11 "Blue Suede" which, as the name hints at, is fully comprised of blue suede across its upper. The shoe also features hints of black on the remaining design elements and a black leather tongue. As this is the first look at the shoe it is no surprise that there is yet to be any word on a release date or price but in the mean time check out the provided images and let us know what you think by leaving a comment in the provided section below.

Annually the sneakers of the Nike Basketball signature athletes receive receive the "Elite" treatment, just as the playoffs begin in order to improve on the original model and hopefully help each player lead their team to NBA Playoff success. An image of the Nike KD VI Elite has recent surfaced, which pictures the redesigned model with a full-length air unit. This full length air bubble is a new feature for the Kevin Durant's signature series as it has never made an appearance on any of Durant's previous signature models. Other than the air unit the sneaker will also feature the addition of flywire and mesh upper along with what looks to be a slightly altered sole pattern, more similar to what is seen on Nike LeBron models. The shoe sports a few big changes while also staying true to its original design, likely making the Nike KD VI Elite a hit when it makes its way to retailers. No release information has surfaced at this point but stay tuned to Freshly Laced in order to keep up with the latest updates.

Air Jordan 11 "Columbia/Legend Blue" 2014 First Look

The Air Jordan 11 changed the way basketball shoes were designed. The model featured patten leather and a futuristic design that has made it a favorite of sneakerheads for the foreseeable future. The shoe has released in a number of colorways and each year when the holiday season rolls around you can expect to see the shoe return. Currently, the colorway that is mostly highly requested is the "Columbia" makeup. Each year sneaker blogs are filled with comments suggesting that Jordan Brand bring the colorway back to retailers and every years it seems they are denied. Well it finally appears that the people have been heard as images of a 2014 release of the Air Jordan 11 "Columbia" have surfaced courtesy of Trusted Kicks. Obviously this information should be taken with a grain of salt as this is far from definitive evidence that the shoe will indeed be returning to retailers, but it appears that this year may at least provide a bit more hope regarding a return of the "Columbias" than previous years.

Nike Kobe 9 Low - Early Look

With Kobe Bryant struggling through a number of recent injuries the general public has seemingly pushed him towards the back of their minds due to his inactivity on the court. Sneakerheads, on the other hand, continue to keep Bryant relevant as the Prelude Pack releases have sold out immediately on a weekly basis. The fun doesn't end there though as the Nike Kobe 9 will be making its way to retailers in a couple of short weeks. The new high-top design for the model has received mixed reactions and has left many waiting for the low model to surface. Well they need not wait any longer as we appear to have received a early look at a low version of the sneaker that will likely be more popular with the general public. The model is very similar to the high-top model in material and construction so it will likely appeal to those not interested in using the sneaker on-court. The release date for the low model is not yet confirmed but you can expect the high-top sneaker to hit shelves on February 8th and likely will not last long.

Are you more interested in the high or low top version? What do you think of the Kobe 9 when compared to previous releases in his signature series? Let us know what you think by leaving a comment below and be sure to stay tuned to Freshly Laced for further release information.
