Air Jordan 3 "Katrina" Release Info

The Air Jordan 3 in one of the most iconic and well-loved sneakers of all time. The model introduced elephant print and the air bubble to the Air Jordan line, making it one of the most memorable Jordans to date. Both Nike and Jordan Brand have been known for their charitable actions (Nike's Doernbecher Series) and now Jordan Brand is primed to bring back The Air Jordan 3 "Katrina" colorway. The limited pairs of the sneaker were auctioned off shortly after Hurricane Katrina in an attempt to raise money for those affected by the disaster. The shoe naturally became well loved in the sneaker community and will certainly be one of the most popular releases of 2014 if it does indeed make its way to retailers.

The shoe has tentatively been scheduled for a March 8th release date and will retail at the typical retail price of $170. The model is rumored to be a general release so keep your fingers crossed that there will be plenty of pairs to go around. Do you plan on picking up a pair if they do indeed release? Is this one of the top sneakers for the upcoming year? Let us know what you think by leaving a comment below and be sure to stay tuned to Freshly Laced for further details.
