Rumors of an Adidas Mutumbo Retro in 2013 surfaced early in the year and was speculated to be seen sometime in July. Although recent news has proven that to be incorrect, we are now getting information that the sneaker will hit retailers in the mostly black colorway, seen below, on August 24th of this year.
Mutumbo became a star in the NBA for his great shit blocking ability and finger wagging antics. The gesture has become so synonymous with his name that he was featured using the gesture in a recent insurance commercial. The Democratic Republic of the Congo native has done countless charity work to improve life in his homeland and is considered one of the great men of the NBA.
