With the return of the Nike Air Branding to the Air Jordan 1, the popularity of the classic sneaker has grown immensely. Now the shoe is primed to release in a simple but history driven colorway. The Air Jordan 1 "Barons" draws inspiration from Michael Jordan's time as a minor league baseball player for the Birmingham Barons. Although a baseball inspired pack of the Air Jordan 1 released back in 2008, this years model is drawing more attention due to the increased popularity of sneaker culture in general. The model is set to release on May 5th at a retail price of $140. Even with a very simple color scheme, the show is eye catching with pin-stripe hints on the inside liner and along the shoe laces. The sneaker is set to release in the "Barons Pack", which will also contain a Air Jordan 9 release with similar a similar color pattern.
