Nike Kobe 1-7 Prelude Releases Preview

It is no secret that retro sneakers have surpassed new releases in popularity and every major sneaker company has begun to bring back earlier models, which only adds to the nostalgia that seemingly surrounds every release. Now it appears the retro sneaker business has become so popular that multiple NBA stars may have their early models hit retailers once again before they get a chance to retire. This trend is confirmed by a recent image, seen below, that pictures the so-called Nike Kobe "Prelude Pack". The pack is set to feature Bryant's first seven sneakers while a member of the Nike Basketball team. As you can see, the preview image is very blurry, likely done on purpose, but the outline and general colorways of each model can be seen. With the Kobe signature series getting the retro treatment it is likely only a matter of time before other NBA superstars (such as LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony) get similar treatment. The lineup along with colorway and release date information for the pack can be seen in the Nike/Jordan Brand Q1 Preview that recently surfaced. Note that the Air Jordan Melo 1.5 will also be receiving the retro treatment along with the Kobe series.

How do you feel about the current NBA players having their signature sneakers receive the retro treatment? Too soon? Or should it have happened already? Let us know what you think by leaving a comment below and be sure to stay tuned for further details.

The Nike Air Max Hyperposite burst onto the Nike Basketball scene and into sneaker relevance in 2012 and has remained a highly sought after model through 2013. Pictured below is the potential upcoming sneaker that will feature what is being called a honey-comb upper accompanied by the full length air unit as expected. The sneaker has not been confirmed and has been given no inkling as to when they may hit retailers. Nike KD VI (6) "Black/Red/Gold" - First Look

The Nike KD VI colorways continue to roll out as we are now getting a look at yet another potential upcoming makeup of the highly popular basketball sneaker. This time around it appears the shoe will feature an all-black upper which is an interesting change when compared to the previously released more eccentric colorways we have seen so far. The sneaker will also feature multiple red and gold accents throughout to give the model a simple yet striking look. As this is the first look we are getting at the shoe, there is very little information on the shoe's possible release but be sure to stay tuned as details are likely on their way.

What do you think of this more simple makeup of the Nike KD VI? Is it an improvement over the more colorful makeups that have been released so far? Let us know if you would pick these up if they were to release and be sure to leave a comment below with your thoughts.

Nike Kobe 9 - Preview Image

In recent years the Nike Basketball Kobe signature line has become to represent the best in low-cut basketball sneakers. That trend appears to be at its end as we get a sneak peek preview of the Nike Kobe 9, seen below. The sneaker will feature much more ankle support than previous models and also appears to be, at least partially, comprised of the highly popular Flyknit material. The model also features a carbon fiber plate along the so-called midsole for added stability. Little information on the shoe is available at this time but this preview image is certainly a step in the right direction.

What do you think about the drastic design change seen in the Nike Kobe 9? Do you think it is an improvement or downgrade over the series' previous models? Be sure to let us know what you think of the shoe by leaving a comment below and stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.
