Nike has recently announced that it will be releasing a new set of sneakers in its highly popular Doernbecher series. Each sneaker in the series is inspired and created by a patient at the well known Doernbecher Children's Hospital in Nike's home state of Oregon. The inclusion of the Nike Foamposite One in the upcoming series already has the sneaker community buzzing as this sneaker, inspired by Elijah Diggins, will likely become an instant classic. Diggins is a 14 year old baseball player who has been dealing with Burkitt's Leukemia. The shoes color along with details throughout the sneaker are directly inspired by Diggins and his life.
