It appears that Nike is planning a sizable return of the Air Max Griffey 1 as we have gotten a look at several upcoming colorways of the model and have seen one release. It also seems that return will be made up of new and flashier colorways, including this black and gold model seen below. The makeup will feature a mostly black upper with gold accents and a metallic gold mudguard. Whether these colorways are attached to Ken Griffey Jr. and his playing days is still unknown but makeups have the sneaker community curious about the inspiration behind them.
